We all know what a deviant's most popular works are: all it takes is a single click of the mouse button and we can find out which of their pieces are the most commented upon, most viewed, most liked by the dA community. But what of their own favourite pieces?

We all have our pet deviations: the ones we labour on night after night, the one we pour heart and soul; blood, sweat and tears into; the ones we look at and say, "This is what I'm proudest of."

What are your favourite personal pieces? Are they the very same ones that have gained the most attention at dA, or do they lurk in a dark, dusty corner of your gallery, commented upon by only a handful and appreciated by even less? What inspired you? Why did you draw/write them? How do you feel about them?

I like this one for a couple of reasons ^^ This was a birthday gift for one of my Jedi friends, actually drawn with his photo as a reference. And I've spent so much time shading it... And then I discovered I screwed up the proportions and I couldn't fix it anymore...


This was my first pencil-shaded drawing that I later coloured in PS. I love how it turned out ^^


I wanted to colour this for so long and when I finally managed to finish I was really pleased with the effects.



I'm just proud of the subtle shading that I managed in this one and to actually give some texturing to it...plus I love the emotion!!!!


I have never, EVER been able to duplicate that skintone effect again! why?! oh WHY?! oh merciful gods, why?!?!!? I'm insanely proud of how real it looks if only I could do it again!!!! *sob*
